1. The Zethus Centre Project.

Keen to push back the boundaries of technology, Ruberoid are proud to support the Zethus Centre Project at the University of Greenwich Campus at Dartford.

The Zethus Centre was set up to promote design innovation and new build housing technology in the following ways:

• Encourage more sustainable home building via the use of off site construction and the reduction in site-generated waste.
  
  
• To encourage the adoption of the Egan agenda among housing clients.
  
  
• To work with industry and Government to create consumer-friendly housing products.

The aim is to achieve these objectives by education and training initiatives, seminars, workshops, CPD courses and exhibitions. Targeting groups like specifiers, contractors, local authority planning and building control staff, regulators, funding organisations and insurance companies.

The Zethus Centre aims and objectives fall in line perfectly with Ruberoid's designs for high performance bitumen shingles, reducing the building structure needed to support more heavyweight roofing systems, and allowing fast-track, prefabricated construction.

The striking octagonal central exhibition hall at the futuristic Zethus training centre at Dartford is roofed with Ruberoid (IKO) Dynasty Shingles.

The contoured finish of the Dynasty shingles contrasts perfectly with the timber boarded external walls, and will continue to provide a durable long-term waterproof finish for many years to come.
